1. Spot the dolphins in Lovina

Bali has many beaches, but one that stands out is Lovina, where the sand is black due to high mineral content and volcanic ash. 2. Visit Bali Bird Park

The Bali Bird Park has a large collection of birds from all over Indonesia, including a variety of unusual species. The park is in Batubulan, a town known for its stone carving. The park is divided into sections that mimic the natural habitats of the birds, and there are beautiful avians such as colourful parrots and birds of paradise.

3. Walk to Gitgit Waterfall

Make sure not to miss Gitgit Waterfall, which is widely regarded as Bali’s most beautiful cataract. The waters are located between Denpasar and Singaraja, and you can hike to the waterfall along a small trail that takes you past leafy forests and coffee plantations. The waters cascade down a 35-meter drop, and there is a swimming pool at the base of the waterfall. There is also a local legend here that says couples should not bathe together because it will bring bad luck to their relationship.

4. Spend time at Canggu Beach

Canggu Beach is famous for its eight kilometres of golden sands and is frequently voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Despite its popularity, it does not feel crowded and retains much of its rural charm, with swimming and surfing being popular pastimes. At sunset, you can enjoy the beautiful views, and there are numerous places dotted along the sand where you can get a drink and listen to the waves.

5. Visit Ubud Palace

Ubud Palace, which dates from the 1800s, is the most important attraction in Ubud. The complex includes the palace as well as beautiful gardens and ornate architectural features, which you can explore during the day or after the sun goes down. 6. Drink from the waters at Goa Gajah

Anyone looking for the fountain of youth should visit Goa Gajah, a cave complex that translates to Elephant Cave in Indonesian. The cave is best known for its statues of six women carrying water pots that also function as fountains. The water that flows from the pots is said to have healing properties and will keep you looking young for years to come.

7. Explore the Don Antonio Blanco Museum

Antonio Blanco was a Spaniard who was born in the Philippines before moving to Bali.
